SHANGHAI
Fourteen people were killed in a stampede at a mosque on Sunday in China's northern Ningxia region, which has a dense population of Muslim Hui ethnic minority.
The stampede ocurred when attendees at the mosque in Guyuan city were being handed out traditional cakes during the commemoration of a religious figure.
Fourteen people were wounded, with four reported to be in critical condition.
