CAIRO (AA) - Egyptian police detained Tahir Osman Hamde, Cairo Branch Chief of Turkish private Ihlas News Agency (IHA) after raid on the office.
Security forces, demanded the work permits and live broadcast license from the staff, also confiscated the equipment and materials in the office.
There was no immediate comment from the Egyptian authorities.
Metin Turan from Turkish TRT television network who was reporting the standoff from inside Fatah Mosque in Cairo's Ramses Square had been also detained in Cairo.
