Egypt is planning to open a tv channel broadcasting in Turkish, Egyptian minister said.
Egyptian Information Minister Salah Abdel Maqsood told AA correspondent in Cairo on Wednesday that during his visit to Turkey, he had meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkish and Egyptian officials agreed to cooperate in the areas of culture and media, he said.
There was a tv channel in Turkey broadcasting in Arabic, he said, adding that they planned to open a tv channel in Egypt broadcasting in Turkish.
