Denmark claims Russian warship violated its territorial waters twice

STOCKHOLM

Denmark on Friday claimed that a Russian warship had violated the Danish territorial waters twice.

A Russian warship had violated Denmark’s territorial waters near the country’s Bornholm Island at around 0030GMT on Friday, the Danish Armed Forces said in a statement.

“It is an extremely irresponsible, rude, and completely unacceptable Russian provocation,” said Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod on Twitter with the hashtag “We are NATO.”

“These bullying tactics do not work on Denmark,” he added.
