Davutoglu stated Thursday that they hoped the Second Geneva conference would take place as soon as possible, ending the bloodshed and tyranny in Syria.
Davutoglu told journalists they supported each effort for a peaceful solution over Syria.
Stressing that he discussed the problem with US Foreign Secretary John Kerry and French Minister for Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius on the first day of Eid al-Adha, Davutoglu said, "if the Syrian regime has good intentions, the continuing attacks against the civilians, even during the holy days such as the eid, must be stopped. We hope that steps to prevent it will be taken in a short time, to which we will show maximum effort."
Upon journalist's reminding over the upcoming meeting of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Davutoglu said there was already an existing cooperation mechanism between Turkey and Russia, organized each year.
"This year in November, we won't only meet over Syria, but also over the uninterrupted high-level strategic cooperation relations, which have been continuing for four years between Turkey and Russia," Davutoglu added.
