Brussels metro station reopens after terror attack

BRUSSELS

The Brussels metro station hit in a terrorist bomb attack last month reopened Monday, the STIB public transport authority said.

Maelbeek station, near EU offices, reopened fully at 6 a.m. local time (0400GMT) for the first time since the March 22 attacks on the station and Zaventem Airport. A total of 32 people were killed and more than 200 injured in the attacks, for which Daesh claimed responsibility.

A wall of remembrance is to be set up at the station.

Zaventem partially reopened on April 3 and is expected to be fully operational by June.
