MAZAR-I SHARIF (AA) - Six security officials and two Taliban militants were killed Thursday in two separate bomb attacks in Afghanistan.
Two soldiers were killed in the attack in the northern Jowzjan province.
Unidentified attackers killed the policemen as they were leaving work, chief of Jowzjan police Faqr Mohamed Jowzjani told AA.
No one has thus far claimed responsibility for the attack for which the Taliban is suspected.
Meanwhile, four local police officials and two militants died in clashes which erupted after Taliban militants attacked the Badghis province police office with heavy weapons.
