KABUL (AA) - A bomb attack killed four American troops who were members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan's Kandahar city.
Kandahar Governorship spokesman Javid Faysal stated the attack occurred in the morning in Zhari district.
With the recent deaths, the number of NATO troops who died in Afghanistan this year has reached 132, 102 of whom were American.
Meanwhile, an armed clash between Taliban militants and police in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province killed nine people on Sunday.
Eight militants and a police officer were killed in the clash near Badakhshan's Fayzabad city, said a Badakhshan police official.
Two police officers were wounded and three militants detained in the clash which lasted hours.
On the other hand, four members of the Taliban were taken into custody in the morning for planning simultaneous suicide attacks in the Kishim district of the same province.
