KABUL
Five people, including one child, died and 17 were wounded on Thursday when a bomb placed on a motorcycle exploded in the Logar province ofAfghanistan, officials said.
Underlining that the target of the blast was unclear, Logar governor’s spokesman Din Muhammed Darvis said the explosion occurred in a crowded marketplace.
‘’All of those who died were civilians, including one child and one woman,’’ Darvis said.
The attack comes as the United States government is trying to sign a security deal with Afghanistan that would allow US troops to stay in the country until 2024.
No one has claimed any responsibility for the blast yet, and people with serious wounds are being treated at a hospital.
