ISLAMABAD (AA) - May 7, 2013 - An explosion at a Pakistani election rally in Hangu district for religious party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) killed 12 people and wounded several people on Tuesday.
Police officials said on Tuesday that the target was a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam rally in a bazaar in Hangu district which was being led by provincial candidate Mufti Seyd Janan who was reportedly injured in the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast in the tribal Orakzai region on Monday, where 24 people were killed and 70 others were wounded in an election rally.
