More than 12 thousand foreigners reside in Alanya, a town popular to foreign nationals, in the province of Antalya..
Nationals from 43 countries preferred the southern Turkish hotspot on Alanya and Danish top the list with 3,821 people, followed by 3,482 Germans.
Foreign residents of Alanya prefer the town for its climate, beautiful shores, natural beauty and Turkish hospitality.
Anjelika Azhela, a member of Alanya’s Russian community says she settled down in Alanya 12 years ago after she got married and she is very happy in the town.
The town has a cemetery for foreigners and a church for Christians.
The total number of expats who have residence and work permits from accross the globe is 12,393 according to Alanya police's foreigners branch.
