ATHENS
A group of around 40 people invaded the Ministry of education on early Sunday afternoon.
According to the ministry’s statement, the unknown assailants caused considerable damage inside the building.
Four windows were broken, several offices vandalized and two security cameras were destroyed.
Police forces arrived and detained eight people.
The ministry issued a statement condemning the attack and said: “Whoever is attempting through such acts to terrorize Greek society should know that their fight is futile.”
Thus far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
