An Egyptian policeman was gunned down on Monday in the Nile Delta province of Sharqiya, security sources said.
Abdel-Rahman Abul-Ela Mohamed, 35, was shot dead as he returned to his home in provincial capital Zagaziq by unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Egyptian authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
Monday's killing came two days after a National Security officer was killed outside his home in the same city.
