At least 11 people were killed and 28 injured when a car bomb went off near a Baghdad church, asecurity source said.
"The explosive-laden car had been parked in a local market in southern Baghdad's Dora district," the source, who asked not to be named, told Anadolu Agency.
The explosion occurred as worshippers were leaving the Church of John the Baptist, the source added without elaborating.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Recent months have witnessed an uptick in violence across Iraq. Although most attacks go unclaimed, Iraqi authorities usually point the finger at Al-Qaeda-linked militants.
