Türkiye, Uzbekistan hold 1st 4+4 format meeting in Ankara
In Turkish capital, foreign, defense, interior ministers of Türkiye and Uzbekistan meet, along with intelligence chiefs
ISTANBUL
Türkiye and Uzbekistan held the first meeting of their 4+4 format mechanism in Ankara on Tuesday, bringing together senior officials responsible for foreign affairs, defense, the interior, and intelligence from both countries.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the meeting alongside National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief Ibrahim Kalin, according to a Turkish Foreign Ministry post on Turkish social media platform NSosyal.
The ministry said the Turkish officials met with their Uzbek counterparts within the framework of the newly established mechanism.
