Türkiye’s premier technology event TEKNOFEST will host a competition to design a national “super app” that integrates social media, messaging, food ordering, transport and payment services into a single platform.

The NSosyal Super App Creathon, organized by the KUME Foundation, will bring together young talents to develop user-friendly and aesthetically designed domestic prototypes. The competition aims to produce intuitive, accessible and scalable models based on user habits.

A 36-hour Creathon will be held Sept. 18-20, with finalists launching their super app projects. Submissions will be judged on innovation, user experience, interface design, technical feasibility, presentation and originality.

The jury includes UI/UX specialists, software engineers, graphic designers and entrepreneurs. The top team will receive 250,000 Turkish liras ($6,050), the runner-up 150,000 liras ($3,630) and the third-place team 100,000 liras ($2,420). Winners will also gain the chance to meet potential investors within the TEKNOFEST ecosystem.

TEKNOFEST, organized by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation and Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Ministry, will take place Sept. 17-21 at Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

Launched in 2018 with the backing of dozens of government bodies, private partners and universities, TEKNOFEST has grown into the country’s largest tech showcase. This year’s edition will feature 58 main and 137 subcompetitions, alongside air shows, exhibitions, simulation areas, a planetarium, trade fair activities and student flight events.
