President Erdogan highlights Türkiye’s role as emerging pole in 'reshaped world order'
‘As in Syria, we are entering new era in which we will reap rewards of our sacrifices, efforts, of having stood on right side of history, conscience,’ says Erdogan
ANKARA
Türkiye will become one of the central poles in the newly reshaped world order, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday.
“As in Syria, we are entering a new era in which we will reap the rewards of our sacrifices and efforts, and of having stood on the right side of history and conscience,” said Erdogan, speaking at the 7th Extraordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Entrepreneurial Businesspeople Confederation.
“The world is slowly moving towards what we've been saying. The validity of our criticisms of global politics, which we have been making for years, is becoming apparent today,” he said.
“I believe you are also following the discussions in Davos. Those who have been relentlessly criticizing us for years for bravely speaking the truth are now, you see, using the same language as us. They are talking about global injustices and the distortions of the global system,” he added.
Erdogan said that Türkiye's path and destiny are bright and new doors will open, new opportunities will arise, and possibilities beyond expectations will emerge.
“We are on a brand new journey where our epics will be recited from memory, our achievements will be talked about by friend and foe alike, and ultimately, a great and powerful Türkiye will emerge,” he added.
‘Türkiye … produces, designs, develops, and exports its own technology to the world’
“Although some may still find it difficult to accept, there is now the reality of a Türkiye that produces, designs, develops, and exports its own technology to the world,” said Erdogan.
He said Türkiye’s engineering marvels in defense products are in high demand. “Our aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), naval platforms and many more are literally struggling to keep up with orders.”
He urged entrepreneurs and businesspeople to "Never lend an ear to the mandate-minded economists who have been waiting for Türkiye’s descent into crisis, chaos, disorder, and economic distress, like waiting for Godot."
“We will not give credence to the dark scenarios that economic hitmen market as predictions,” he added.
