ISTANBUL
A construction worker was injured when a building under renovation collapsed in Istanbul's Nisantasi district on Tuesday.
Police said that 43-year-old Semih Yondem was trapped in wreckage and rushed to Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital in the nearby Sisli district.
Ambulances and police were dispatched to the area. An investigation is underway.
Earlier this week, an empty five-story building collapsed in Beyoglu district of Istanbul near Taksim square.
In February, two empty buildings in the Beyoglu district also collapsed.
