Wanted PKK terrorist among neutralized in Turkey
Atilla Cakmaz, Yusuf Korkmaz neutralized in southeastern Siirt province on Sept. 28, says Interior Ministry

ANKARA
Turkey said Tuesday that one of the PKK terrorists neutralized late September was identified to be on the country's wanted list.
Local gendarmerie forces on Saturday neutralized five PKK terrorists in the southeastern Siirt province.
Atilla Cakmaz, codenamed Serhat Igdir, was on the wanted list of the Interior Ministry.
The other neutralized terrorist, codenamed Zinar Zagros, was identified as Yusuf Korkmaz.
Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including many women, children, and infants.
