Ban and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a press conference in Ramallah after their meeting.
Two-state solution was necessary to end violence on Palestinian lands and it was time for establishment of Palestinian state, Ban said.
Ban said Abbas and he discussed sending of urgent aid to Gaza in their meeting, calling on Israel to end its attacks on Gaza.
