Turkey’s parliament speaker on Thursday met with his Qatari counterpart in the capital Ankara.

Mustafa Sentop and Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud signed a cooperation protocol between the two parliaments.

Following the signing ceremony, Al Mahmoud visited the Turkish parliament which was bombed during the defeated coup of July 15, 2016.

Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup, which martyred 251 people and injured nearly 2,200 others.

Turkey also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.
