Turkish dailies on Monday covered the statements of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan about Syria, "bests" of 2012 and the cremation of Indian rape victim. Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
Daily MILLIYET headlined, "Assad, get lost". On Sunday, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan addressed the Syrians staying in Akcakale town of the south-eastern province of Sanliurfa and delivered his remarks as the leader of the Syrian National Coalition Ahmad Muaz al-Khatib stood beside him. Daily MILLIYET quoted Erdogan as saying, "More than 100 countries now have accepted the leadership of brother al-Khatib and his team. What does this mean? It means that more than 100 countries no longer recognize Assad. It means that Assad should go away."
Daily SABAH covered the death and cremation of Indian rape victim who was a paramedic student. Daily CUMHURIYET stated that many people gathered on the streets some lit candles and prayed for the rape victim and some rose their voice and anger towards the government.
