Turkish dailies on Thursday covered the statements of Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon about Israel's apology to Turkey, warning of Turkish premier prior to the funeral of the three Kurdish women killed in Paris, death of successful Turkish painter Burhan Doganacay and the killing of Russian mafia boss Aslan Usayan in Moscow. Daily HURRIYET covered the offer of Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon that Israel was ready for an "apology" to Turkey. The daily covered the words of Israeli official and stated that Israel was ready to send an apology letter to Turkey like the one Washington sent to Pakistan over the killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers. After 32 months of the Mavi Marmara incident, Ayalon said that he was seeing some kind of improvement opportunities in Turkey-Israel relations and that Israel was ready to apologize.
All of the Turkish dailies covered the warnings of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan against possible provocations during the funeral to be held on Thursday in Diyarbakir, of the three PKK women terrorists who were shot dead in Paris. "Three instructions from Erdogan" headlined daily SABAH and stated that Turkish PM warned against the exploitation of the funerals for provocation purposes during Imrali talks and covered the instructions which he gave to Turkish Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin. First order was about not letting occurrence of any provocation, second one was about not interfering in attendees and lastly he ordered that police force has to stay behind.
Turkish dailies covered the death of Turkish painter Burhan Dogancay. Dogancay, who died at the age of 84, obtained his artistic training from his father Adil Dogancay, and Arif Kaptan, both well-known Turkish painters. In the mid-seventies, Dogancay embarked on what he saw then as his secondary project: photographing urban walls all over the globe. Over time, this project gained importance as well as content and after four decades now encompasses over 100 countries.
Most of the Turkish dailies covered the killing of Russia's mafia leader Aslan Usayan. Mafia leader known as "Godfather Khasan" was a Kurdish origin arms dealer in Moscow, the daily ZAMAN said. Daily also added that 76 years old mafia leader had links to PKK terrorist organization and had played an important role in the scope of providing and selling of arms to the organization. Usoyan was shot dead in central Moscow on Wednesday.
