Turkish dailies on Thursday covered the detention of people for using social media to call for Gezi Park protests in Izmir and Ankara, demands presented by the Taksim Solidarity Platform on Wednesday, transfer of Bruno Alves from Zenit St-Petersburg to Fenerbahce and famous top model Miranda Kerr's cancelation of her Antalya program because of Gezi Park incidents. Turkish police detained 34 people who were accused of using Twitter and other social media networks to call for Gezi Park protests and stoke anti-government sentiment. Daily MILLIYET headlined "Sedition with 140 Characters", saying that the detained people in Izmir were accused of inciting violence while those in Ankara were charged with attempting to overthrow the government. Daily HURRIYET titled "Social Custody", saying that police launched an operation against the social media users who allegedly called for protest and propaganda. Daily VATAN headlined "The organization: Twitter, The Crime: Sedition", adding 12 of 34 detainees were released and claimed that the protests were initially innocent.

Daily BUGUN headlined "Seven Demands from Taksim Solidarity Platform, and said "Taksim Solidarity Platform presented 7 demands to Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc for ending the Gezi Park protests." Daily SABAH headlined "Demands of the Platform Has Increased" by publishing Taksim Solidarity Platform firstly presented a demand list including 6 topics, then wanted so many changes in the projects of the Canal Istanbul and the third bridge. Daily HURRIYET headlined "7 Demand from Gezi" and said that Taksim Solidarity Platform met with Deputy PM Bulent Arinc. The delegation conveyed their wishes under seven headings in the meeting.

Daily VATAN headlined "There are protests, I'm not coming" and added Miranda Kerr was set to take to the podium in Antalya today, however, she canceled her program by saying "I am concerned about the Gezi Park incidents." Daily Aksam headlined "The incidents are worrying, I am not going to Turkey" and said that Miranda Kerrr had given up coming to Antalya, a day before her planned arrival.
