Turkish president leaves Berlin after Libya summit

BERLIN

Turkey's president late Sunday left Berlin after acting as a key player at an international conference for peace in Libya.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan left at 7.15 p.m. local time (1815GMT) from Berlin's Tegel Airport to return to Turkey.

Accompanying the president were Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Turkish Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Hakan Fidan, and presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin.
