Anadolu Agency's (AA) election coverage came under attack from "parallel state" and Gulen supported competitors said Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday.

Celebrating the 94th year of the Agency's founding, Erdogan said it had been successful in its delivery of the local elections results.

The local elections results proved that Turkey gave a strong vote of confidence to his Justice and Development (AK) Party which is incontestable, said Erdogan.

Speaking to journalists before departing for Azerbaijan on Friday, Erdogan was asked about whether he will be a candidate in the presidency. He said that he shared the views of President Gul who said on Wednesday that he and Erdogan would talk on the issue before deciding on candidacy.

Regarding the Constitutional Court's decision to lift Twitter ban he said, "We have to obey it - but I don't respect the decision because the court did not take judicial procedures into consideration."

"The judicial ways have not been exhausted, but the Twitter took the case directly to the Constitutional Court. The court had to turn it down and directed them to the primary courts before deciding on lifting the ban," added Erdogan.

Stating that the Twitter is a private company and it has to take personal rights into consideration, Erdogan said that Turkey has the freedom to reject the service provided by Twitter.

Erdogan said that there would not be early general elections and said that AK Party had a principle of not holding early general elections under any circumstances.

"Stability is maintained through continuance of power and we have maintained it thanks to our government holding power over a reasonable period, because foreign investors foresee its future in the country," said Erdogan.

Erdogan also said that after the local elections the Turkish stock exchange index rose and the interest rates are expected to decrease in the coming days.
