Cicek will participate in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament in Strasbourg.
A delegation from Turkish Parliament including ruling Justice and Development Party's Nur Sena Memecan and Necati Cetinkaya aslo travelled to Strasbourg with Cicek.
Cicek and the accompanying delegation will return to Turkey on Friday.
Speakers and presidents of parliament from the 47 member states of the Council of Europe and many partner, observer and neighbouring countries, as well as the heads of several interparliamentry assemblies, will be gathering in Strasbourg on Thursday and Friday for a major European parliamentary summit.
The summit is held every two years.
Around 350 delegates are expected at the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament, held under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
