ANKARA
Turkish main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu on Saturday "strongly" condemned the blasts in the southern town of Reyhanli earlier in the day.
In a written statement released on Saturday, Kilicdaroglu stressed that he strongly condemned the inhumane bomb attacks in Reyhanli that left at least 40 people dead and around 100 others wounded.
Just as we have preserved our unity under all circumstances in the past, we will stand on our feet and overcome such incidents as it happened in Reyhanli today, Kilicdaroglu's statement said.
On the other hand, Turkish opposition Peace and Democracy Party's (BDP) Chairman Selahattin Demirtas also released a statement on Saturday condemning those responsible for the Reyhanli attacks.
We condemn the blasts in Reyhanli and call on the (Turkish) government to find those responsible for the attacks, Demirtas also said.
Meanwhile, Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party cancelled an AK Party Youth Festival that was to take place in the north-western province of Tekirdag with the participation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday. The decision to cancel the event came after the Reyhanli blasts.
