Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Miqati discussed bilateral and regional matters in their meeting on Thursday.
A statement made after the meeting between Erdogan and Miqati said that the two parties agreed to improve relations more.
Erdogan said Turkey attached a great importance to independency, sovereignty and political stability of Lebanon.
Erdogan and Miqati also discussed 11 Lebanese who were taken hostage in Syria.
Premier Erdogan said that Turkey would continue its efforts for release of these Lebanese citizens.

Moreover, Erdogan held talks with president of Tatarstan, Yemen's prime minister, Brazilian vice president and Lebanon prime minister.
Erdogan separately met with Tatarstan's President Rustam Minnikhanov, Yemeni Prime Minister Mohammed Salim Basindwa, Brazilian Vice President Michel Temer and Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Miqati.
All meetings were closed to press corps.
