Turkish lawmaker suffers heart attack during Baku visit
Prime Minister Binali Yildirim wishes speedy recovery to Nationalist Movement Party's Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu

A Turkish opposition party lawmaker suffered a heart attack during his visit to Azerbaijan on Friday.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP)’s Istanbul MP Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu was in the country to attend the “Regional security, regional peace: Middle East” panel of the Sixth Global Baku Forum.
Ihsanoglu, a former secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, left the forum hall before finishing his speech and received treatment at the Central Clinic Hospital.
Assoc. Prof. Firdovsi Ibrahimov, Cardiology Service Chief, told Anadolu Agency that Ihsanoglu’s condition was better but he needs to stay at the hospital’s intensive care unit for 36 hours.
Prime Minister Binali Yildirim wished a speedy recovery to the lawmaker and called Ihsanoglu’s wife Fusun Ihsanoglu.
