GAZIANTEP, Turkey
Turkish armed forces have killed 11 Daesh terrorists after they fired mortar shells into Turkey's southeastern province of Gaziantep, which borders Syria, military sources said.
According to sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Daesh terrorists fired shells into the Karkamis district, where Turkish howitzers, known as Firtina (Storm in Turkish) are located. The military then retaliated.
Turkey has been under indiscriminate rocket attacks from Syria since mid-January. In the Kilis province alone, a total of 18 people have been killed and 60 others have been wounded as a result.
