ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu extended his congratulations to EU's top diplomat Catherine Ashton over Iran's nuclear deal made in Geneva on November 24.
Iran agreed on limiting some of its nuclear activities in exchange for eased sanctions with the five permanent members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council plus Germany, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ashton talked to Davutoglu over phone and thanked Turkey's support and contribution to the process in Iran nuclear talks from the beginning, according to diplomatic sources.
Davutoglu expressed hope that parties' flexible and constructive approaches towards Iran's nuclear deal will continue and they will reach a permanent solution.
Turkey is ready to make contribution to the process, Davutoglu said.
The minister also informed Ashton about his visit to the Iranian capital Tehran and the positive impressions he got during his visit.
Davutoglu and Ashton will meet at an annual meeting of NATO foreign ministers next week.
