ISTANBUL
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with his Greek counterpart Dimitrios Avramopoulos over a working breakfast in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Davutoglu's meeting with Avramopoulos took place at the Hilton Hotel and was closed to the press corps.
Davutoglu told Avramopoulos that he was happy to see him in Istanbul and thanked the Greek minister for his visit.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed Davutoglu's upcoming visit to Greece in late August or beginning of September and holding the meeting of the High Level Strategic Council between the two countries in the second part of September in Turkey.
Davutoglu and Avramopoulos affirmed the common will to further boost positive relations between the two countries and mutually conveyed a desire to promote friendly relations.
Davutoglu-Avramopoulos meeting lasted around one hour after which Avramopoulos thanked Davutoglu by saying "Tesekkur" (Thank you in Turkish).
