JEDDAH
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu attended a meeting in Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah of foreign ministers of nine countries participating in summit meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
According to information received from diplomatic sources, Davutoglu held bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Djibouti, Sudan, Senegal, Egypt and Jordan who attended a meeting of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
In the meeting of foreign ministers, developments in Syria, Myanmar and Somalia were discussed and Davutoglu mentioned about his contacts he had held in Myanmar. Davutoglu also stressed that the pace of transition and changeover in Somalia should be put into fast track and he pointed the latest developments in Syria.
Holding a meeting also with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamil Amr, Davutoglu pointed out to the domestic matters, developments at the border of Egypt-Gaza, bilateral relations and developments in Syria.
Davutoglu also came together with Moroccan Foreign Minister Sadeddin El-Osmani. El-Osmani mentioned that he would like to come to Turkey and Davutoglu said that they were working on preparations for a high level strategic council between two countries and waiting for an answer.
Myanmar was the focal point of Davutoglu's negotiations with Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar. Davutoglu informed Khar about his trip to Myanmar.
