A court in Turkey's southern province of Mersin on Monday remanded a so-called senior PKK/KCK terrorist, judicial sources said.

Davut Baghestani and three other suspects were arrested earlier in February.

The alleged terrorist was a so-called senior member of YPG/PKK-linked Syria's Future political party, founded last year in Raqqa, Syria.

He was also allegedly conducting terrorist activities in Mersin and Adana provinces under the fake name "Canbulut Turgay".

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women and children.
