Woman, three-month-old child missing after refugee boat sinks off Izmir

IZMIR, Turkey
The Turkish Coast Guard on Saturday was searching for a woman and her baby after a boat of refugees sank off the country’s west coast.
Patrols searched the seas off Izmir province following reports that the woman and her three-month-old baby were missing from the 16 survivors rescued.
Earlier Saturday, the Coast Guard pulled 33 dead migrants from the waters off Ayvacik , Canakkale province, after their boat sank.
