Turkish athletes won gold and silver medals in women's 1,500 meters on Friday in the London Olympic Games.
Asli Cakir Alptekin ran in 4:10.23 to claim the top spot for the first gold medal Turkey ever won in an athletics event in the Olympics.
Gamze Bulut finished second with 4:10.40 for the silver medal.
