ANKARA
Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek met his Somali counterpart Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan in Ankara.
Cicek said that Turkey wished peace and tranquility to be restored as soon as possible in Somalia, adding that Turkey was exerting efforts to support Somalia.
Recalling that Somalia was experiencing a transition process, Cicek expressed hope that Somalia would conclude this process successfully and rapidly.
Adan thanked Turkey for its assistance to Somalia, and said that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Somalia in 2011 was a milestone because it showed that Somalia was a country that leaders could visit.
