ANKARA
Turkish Airlines (THY) General Manager Temel Kotil has been awarded the Austrian Order of Merit.
The award was presented to Kotil by Austrian ambassador to Turkey Klaus Wolfer on Wednesday at a ceremony in the embassy in Ankara.
Wolfer praised Kotil, recalling Kotil's career and his services for THY.
Kotil told the assembled audience that he has been THY general manager since 2005 and was proud of receiving the award.
Highlighting that the main point in their success as a corporation was the love for their passengers, Kotil continued:
"For me, the most important thing in this world is to connect people. Providing the people with safe and easy flights is valuable for us.”
