ISTANBUL
Turkiye's agriculture sector closed the last year with an export record of some $30 billion.
The country's agricultural exports increased by 22.2% compared to 2020 to reach $29.7 billion, according to the Turkish Exporters Assembly figures.
The agriculture sector's share in the country's overall exports -- $225.4 billion -- was 13.2%.
Cereals, pulses, oil seeds, and products sub-sector took the lion's share from agricultural exports with $9.16 billion last year.
The main export destinations of the sector were Germany and Iraq in 2021.
