ANKARA

Turkey’s Vice President Fuat Oktay will visit Venezuela to attend President Nicolas Maduro's oath taking ceremony on Thursday.

Oktay will leave Ankara on Wednesday, an official source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Maduro prepares to take his oath of office on Thursday to start his second six-year term.

During Oktay's visit, the bilateral relations between Turkey and Venezuela, and regional developments will be discussed.

According to the source, Oktay will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts that are due attend the ceremony.
