ANKARA
Turkey's EU Minister Egemen Bagis received President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz in Ankara on Monday.
Bagis said that Schulz, as Chairman of Socialist Group and President of EP, had always supported Turkey's EU membership process.
The meeting, then, was closed to press.
Earlier in the day, Schulz spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the Inter-parliamentary Exchange and Dialogue Project at Turkish Parliament.
He will also hold meetings with President Abdullah Gul, Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek.
