LONDON
Turkey analyst of Chatham House, Fadi Hakura, has stated, "Turkish government is determined to give a clear message to Al-Assad about not to breach Turkey's sovereignty."
Hakura talked to AA regarding the Syrian artillery attack on Turkey's south-eastern town of Akcakale which killed 5 Turkish citizens and injured 9.
"This time Turkish government is determined to give a clear message to Al-Assad and his forces that they cannot breach Turkey's sovereignty, said Hakura."
He reminded that previously Syria breached Turkey's borders and downed Turkish jet.
Hakura stressed that Ankara, Damascus, Washington and NATO do not want any military tension between two countries.
He said that it is not so important if the shelling hit Akcakale "by mistake or deliberately", he added that the actual topic is the loss of life of five people and Syria's breaching Turkey's sovereignty.
Chatham House formally known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs is a non-profit organization based in London, UK which analyses and promotes the understanding of major international issues and current affairs.
