Turkey is one of the biggest foreign trade partners of Georgia. Turkey ranks first among foreign trade partners of Georgia by accounting for 18% of volume of imports, and ranks fifth for the volume of exports with a weight of 6%.
Turkish contractors have carried out 159 projects in Georgia worth $2.7 billion so far.
In the first nine months of 2013, about one million vehicles and six million passengers crossed the Sarp border gate.
