ANKARA
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Wednesday that Turkey and France had deep-rooted and multidimensional relations.
Gul received French Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Andre Marcon in Ankara.
A statement posted on the website of the Presidency of Turkey said that Gul underlined the importance of economic cooperation between Turkey and France.
Gul said that he supported French companies' activities and works in Turkey, stating that French companies operating in Turkey have become a part of the country.
Marcon said that his visit would contribute to future of economic relations between the two countries.
Marcon said that commerce chambers of the two countries have started to develop joint projects.
French companies supported Turkey's EU bid, he said.
