ANKARA
Turkish Transport, Maritime and Communication Minister Binali Yildirim announced Wednesday the figures prepared by Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) regarding the third quarter in the informatics sector.
Yildirim told that the total 3G subscribers passed 40 million in Turkey and it made up 59% of mobile phone subscribers which is double the 3G subscription of 30% in Europe.
Yildirim also stated Turkey retaining its top place in Europe with 299 minutes of monthly average mobile phone talking time in the third quarter of the year.
He also said there was increase in foreign calls in fixed line telecommunication services.
