Turkey strongly condemned on Tuesday the attack on a senator in the upper house of Afghanistan's parliament.
A Foreign Ministry statement expressed Turkey's deep sorrow and indignation about the terrorist attack that killed Mawlavi Arsala Rahmani, a member of High Peace Council and Senator in the upper house of Afghanistan's parliament.
"We strongly condemn this assassination that targets at ongoing peace and compromise efforts aiming to ensure stability in Afghanistan," the statement said.
In its statement, the ministry once more reaffirmed Turkey's strong solidarity with Afghanistan.
On Sunday, Arsala Rahmani was killed in his vehicle by an unknown attacker in another vehicle in western Kabul.
