Turkey celebrates youth and sports day

ANKARA

Turkey is celebrating May 19 Commemoration of Ataturk, and Youth and Sports Day on Saturday.
Young people walked from May 19 Stadium to Ataturk Monument in Ulus neighborhood in Ankara to mark the day.
Students carried Turkish flags during the march, sang anthems, and chanted slogans supporting Turkey and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of Republic of Turkey.
The group observed a minute of silence and sang National Anthem in front of Ataturk's Monument in Ulus.
Moreover, May 19 Commemoration of Ataturk, and Youth and Sports Day was marked in Istanbul. A group of young people, headed by executives of the local youth and sports directorate, laid a wreath on Republican Monument at Taksim Square.

Turkish minister, accompanying young people, visit Ataturk's Mausoleum

Turkey's youth and sports minister, accompanied by young people, visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk--the Founder of Republic of Turkey, on Saturday.
Suat Kilic and accompanying young people laid a wreath on Ataturk's Mausoleum, and observed a minute of silence in Ataturk's respect to mark May 19 Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day.
Kilic later signed Anitkabir Special Register, and later proceeded to Ankara's Ataturk Culture Center to attend international youth week celebrations.
