Police arrested 70 Daesh suspects from across the country on Saturday, according to police sources.

Ten foreign suspects, including an alleged senior Daesh member, were arrested in central Turkey for their links to the terrorist group, according to a police source.

Police made the arrests in the central Anatolian province of Eskisehir; all of them were Iraqi nationals, the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.

Simultaneous raids were carried out at nine addresses in the city as part of a probe launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Eskisehir.

Later in Istanbul, police arrested 51 Daesh suspects, all foreign nationals, another source said.

Police conducted simultaneous raids in six districts of Istanbul and seized numerous documents and digital materials linked to the terrorist group, the source added.

In the Aegean province of Izmir, police arrested eight Daesh suspects.

In the central Anatolian province of Malatya, police arrested a suspect over links to the terrorist group, Daesh.

Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to clear Daesh from Turkey.

More than 300 people lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks.
