Turkey: 5 Daesh/ISIS suspects to be deported

CANKIRI, Turkey

Turkish authorities on Monday ordered the deportation of five suspects arrested in counter-terrorism operations against the Daesh/ISIS terror group.

Police officers in the central Cankiri province last Friday arrested five suspects, including four of Syrian origin.

One of the suspects was alleged to be handling financial matters for the terrorist group.

In 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terrorist group.

The country has since been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists multiple times, with at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed attacks which killed 315 people and injured hundreds more.

In response, Turkey launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad to prevent further attacks.
